The Legend of Wine ( listen )
Z' Johanneli is said to have been the first landlady on the Brigerberg in the 17th century. After the shop closed, she would secretly fill the wine barrel with water. When a guest caught Johanneli red-handed one evening, she was chased out of the village. After that, no one ever saw her again.
At the time, it was said that she would have to remain forever as a lost soul in the glacier waters to atone for her grave sin. But since the Aletsch glacier began to melt, it is said that z'Johanneli has been released again. This is probably why the wine is available again, only this time it is supposed to have been washed clean of her guilt.

Bona Aestimare about Johanneli Fi Heida:
"The colour shows a clear, radiant light yellow with beautiful church windows in the glass.
The bouquet is opulent, broad, multi-layered. A bouquet of aromas comes to the nose with exotic fruit, pineapple, lots of floral aromas with elderflowers, a hint of jasmine. The white wine brings sweet notes with marzipan, beautiful herbal notes. I just like to sniff it again and again.
On the palate, the Heida is full-bodied, spicy, fresh with fruit and crisp acidity. On the palate, exotic fruits with pineapple, citrus fruit, sage, herbs, spicy mineral freshness. A wonderful long finish.
Impressive - really excellent. Great wine at a pleasure price. Very well done."
