The legend of wine ( listen )
A hunter from the Valais region once encountered a mountain spirit. The spirit showed him a crevice in a rock where a golden drop lay. Every spring, the hunter was allowed to place a small jug there, which was always returned full in the autumn. This pleased the hunter greatly, and he invested his land in gold. His greed for gold grew ever stronger, so that even in summer he would walk to the rock to see how much gold had accumulated. But his disappointment was great when he found neither the rock nor the crevice that day. The hunter died long ago. However, the old shepherdess told him that a few strangers had seen the golden drop again. Only those who are lucky enough get to enjoy this rare drop.
Goldtropfu Johannisberg AOC VS
The nose offers distinct notes of citrus fruits, gooseberry, and a light touch of grass. On the palate, the acidity is still quite pronounced in the young wine, diminishing with age. With its apple notes and robust fruitiness, it is an overall very harmonious, mild, and elegant white wine.
